Il n’y a pas grand chose à raconter cette semaine. J’ai fais ces petits tatouages de même que travaillé sur de plus gros projets en cours.

J’ai fais cette marguerite pour Josée, une ancienne cliente. Tous ses tatouages représentent des chiens donc elle voulait quelque chose de différent et coloré.

Valéry s’est fait encrer ce tatouage amusant et paradoxal sur son bas ventre.

Pascale voulait cette ancre traditionnelle et colorée sur son avant bras. C’était amusant à faire.

Finalement, ma copine Maude est venue se faire faire ces cerises glacées sur lesquelles elle avait un œil depuis un moment. Vous pouvez constater qu’il est particulièrement difficile de réussir un tatouage sur le ventre, surtout quand il y a des vergetures. Cette image a été prise quelques instants après donc la zone est plutôt enflée mais j’ai revu le tatouage quelques jours plus tard et tout était très beau!

À part de tout ça je commence à planifier mon voyage à Halifax avec Rich pour le Festival de Tatouage des Maritimes en mai. Je pense aussi peut-être voyager en Angleterre dans quelques semaines pour visiter des appartements mais ce n’est pas encore certain. Il me reste aussi une petite place pour un rendez-vous à Montréal le samedi 13 mars si vous êtes intéressé!

There’s not much to say this week. I did those little tattoos as well as working on big in progress projects.

I did this little daisy for Josée, a previous customer of mine. All her tattoos feature dogs of some kind so she wanted something different and colourful.

Valery got this funny and paradoxical lettering tattoo on her lower belly.

Pascale wanted this traditional yet colourful anchor on her forearm. This was fun to do.

And finally my friend Maude came to get those iced cherries she has her eyes on for a while. You can see that it is much harder to get belly tattoos right, especially on stretch marks. This picture was taker right after so it’s all swollen but I saw it again a few days after and it looked very good!

Aside from that I am beginning to plan my trip to Halifax with Rich for the Maritime’s Tattoo Festival in May. I might also travel in England in a few weeks to look for apartments but that is not sure yet. I also have a small place for an appointment in Montreal on Saturday March 13th if anyone is interested!

En fin de semaine j’ai voyagé vers Montréal pour travailler quelques jours à L’atelier Légend’Art de la Plaza St-Hubert. Le changement de décors était le bienvenu et j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer quelques clients aux projets intéressants. Tout d’abord j’ai tatoué cette pièce en l’honneur du film « the last unicorn » pour Émilie qui adore cet univers fantastique.

J’ai aussi commencé une pièce représentant la ville de Montréal pour Nicolas. Merci à ceux qui nous ont écouté live! Nous la terminerons sans doute lors de mon prochain passage en ville dans un mois. Je vous communiquerai les dates de mon retour pour ceux qui voudraient prendre un rendez-vous.

Je suis somme toute bien heureuse de rentrer à la maison et retrouver l’équipe du UNIK! Juste avant mon départ j’ai commencé cette pièce florale pour cette jeune fille qui malgré son jeune âge le porte très bien selon moi.

J’ai aussi tatoué cet emblème de Superman non conventionnelle pour le lutteur Simon « Easton » Hébert de Sherbrooke.

This weekend I travelled to Montreal to work a few days at L’atelier Légend’ Art on St-Hubert Plaza. The change of environment was welcome and I was pleased to meet some customers with interesting projects. First of all I tattooed this piece tribute to “the last unicorn” movie for Emilie who loves this fantastic universe.

I also began a piece representing Montreal city for Nicolas. Thank to those who listened to our live show! We will probably finish it the next time i’ll come downtown in a month. I will communicate the dates of my return next week for those who would like to take an appointment.

I am altogether quite happy to return home and reunite with UNIK’s team! Right before my departure I began this floral piece for this girl who I think, in spite of her youth, wears it very well.

I also tattooed this nonconventional Superman crest for the fighter Simon “Easton” Hébert of Sherbrooke.

Mes deux premières semaines au UNIK on été des plus chargées! J’ai eu le plaisir de tatouer plusieurs projets intéressants. J’ai entre autre mis les dernières retouches sur la pièce de Félix, après plusieurs mois de travail.

De plus, j’ai eu la visite de BloodKnight2, ce personnage mythique du forum du site Sherbrooke Web, pour se tatouage inspiré d’une peinture de Luis Royo. Il s’agit de ma première tentative de « portrait », laquelle je crois est plutôt réussie.

J’ai aussi fais cet arbre symbolisant la vie et la mort sur Vincent, un ancien client.

Par contre, ce qui m’excite particulièrement, c’est le lancement de mon propre canal de WebTV sur Livestream. Je tatouerai et dessinerai en temps réel plusieurs heures par semaine. My first two weeks at UNIK where quite busy! I was pleased to tattoo several interesting projects. Amongst other things, I put the final touch on Felix’ piece after several months of work.

Moreover, I had the visit of BloodKnight2, this mythical character from SherbrookeWeb’s  forum, for this tattoo inspired by a Luis Royo’s painting. It is about my first attempt at “portrait”, and I believe it is rather successful.

I also did this tree symbolizing life and death on Vincent, a former customer.

On the other hand, what excites me the most is the launching of my own WebTV channel on Livestream. I will tattoo and draw live several hours per week. You can get informed of the airing schedules on RubyMoon’s home page. I invite you to take appointment with me and thus take part in the show! I’m looking forward to meet you there!!

Martin étant un patron très enthousiaste et dynamique, nous avons beaucoup de plaisir à travailler ensemble. Julie et Todd se sont également joints à l’équipe pour solidifier ce beau partenariat. Pour fêter l’événement nous avons organisé un super party au Living de Sherbrooke vendredi passé. Ce fût une soirée des plus mémorables! Plus de photos sont disponibles sur le Facebook de UNIK.

Avant les fêtes j’ai aussi travaillé sur cette série de trois portraits des chiens de Martin, offerts par sa douce moitié. Ils sont maintenant fièrement affichés dans la salle de travail de celui-ci.

Martin being a very enthusiastic and dynamic boss, we have much pleasure to work together. Julie and Todd also joined the team to solidify this beautiful partnership. To celebrate the event, we organized a super party at the Living Room of Sherbrooke last Friday. It was one most memorable evening! More photos are available on UNIK’s Facebook.

Before the holidays I also worked on this series of three portraits of Martin’s dogs, offered by his girlfriend. They are now proudly displayed in his work area.

Now that it is official I’m leaving for Europe in July, do not delay to take appointment to finish your tattoos in progress! I still have some availability for January 31th weekend in Montreal.

Cette semaine je me reprends pour les quelques semaines passées dans le silence. Avant les fêtes j’ai participé comme plusieurs le savent à la World Tattoo Convention. J’ai finalement terminé deuxième avec l’aide des votes de plusieurs d’entre vous. Merci à tous pour ce support! Dans les derniers jours du concours j’ai eu la chance de tatouer Madolika à deux reprises. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir ensemble et nous avons gardé plusieurs bons souvenirs de l’événement!

Karina est aussi passé à la boutique quelques jours avant pour faire faire cet avant bras décoratif et très féminin.

J’ai aussi terminé le tatouage de Fanny, une charmante française du sud qui était en ville pour les études et qui maintenant profite du soleil alors que nous on gèle.

Je suis partie toute la période des fêtes pour une retraite de méditation qui m’a fait le plus grand bien! Je reviens en forme avec plein de sourire et d’énergie pour la nouvelle année! This week I need to make up for these last weeks of silence on my behalf. As some of you already know, before the holidays I took part in the World Tattoo Convention. At the end, I finished second with all your votes. Thank you for all for this support! In the last days of the contest, I had the chance to tattoo Madolika twice. We had much pleasure together and we have several good memories of the event!

Karina also dropped by the shop a few days before to get this decorative and very feminine arm tattoo done.

I also finished Fanny’s tattoo, a charming French woman from the South which was downtown for her studies and which now benefits from the sun when we’re all freezing.

I left town for the entire holidays for a meditation retreat which did me lots of good! I’m returning fresh with full with smile and energy for the New Year! Look out today for the new front page on the RubyMoon’s website which will amongst other things include a checklist of everything to come on the site in the next weeks. There is many surprises in sight
